MyIRC & IRC Application FAQs

Please note: Your MyIRC account is completely separate from any other RORC website account you may have and is only valid for the MyIRC application on MyIRC.rorcrating.com.

  • New registration: what should I do if I do not receive a validation email?

You should receive an email shortly after creating your user account but sometimes this can take some time depending on your email provider. If you have not received an email first check your spam filter as they often get misdirected there. If you still have not received one please email or call the Rating Office with your username and we will manually approve your account.

  • What should I do if I forget my email address or password?

If you have lost your Password please use the ‘Forgot password’ button on the login page.

If you cannot remember the email address you used to register, contact the Rating Office. Please do not register again with a different email address as you may not be able to link to your boat.

Please note that old MyIRC usernames are no longer required.

  • How do I get back to my account home page when I am elsewhere on the RORC Rating Office website?

As long as you are logged in, click on My Boats in the top menu. If you are using a smartphone or tablet, click on the account icon in the top menu bar.

  • How do I add my Primary and/or Secondary certificates to my account?

Click on the ‘Add My Boat’ option once logged in. You will need the IRC certificate number to search for the boat.

If you also hold a Secondary (SEC) certificate please add this as a separate ‘boat’.

Once you have added your boat’s certificate number(s) to your account you will see the available options for that certificate.

If you experience any problems with this please contact the Rating Office.

  • I can’t see any option to revalidate, what do I do?

To be able to revalidate you first need to link your boat to your account. To do this you need to click on the ‘Add My Boat’ option once logged in. You will need the IRC certificate number to search for the boat. If you experience any problems with this please contact the Rating Office.

Once you have added your boat to your account you will see the available options for your boat.

  • I have entered my details but the system cannot find my boat.

Please make sure you are entering the correct certificate number.

If your boat has not been rated in recent years we may require a new application to be completed. Please contact the Rating Office to check this, and if necessary also request a copy of the most recent certificate.

For any other issues please contact the Rating Office.

  • I am the new owner of a boat rated last year. How do I revalidate?

If the last certificate was issued to a previous owner it may still be linked to their account please contact the Rating Office to release it, and if necessary obtain a copy of the most recent certificate so you can check the data and other information before revalidating.

  • I am the new owner of a boat that holds a current valid certificate. What do I need to do?

To comply with IRC Rule 8.8 you must Amend the certificate to change the ownership; you can make any data or configuration changes at the same time.

If the certificate is linked to the previous owner’s account please contact the Rating Office to release it, and if necessary obtain a copy of the most recent certificate so you can check the data and other information.

  • How do I revalidate my Secondary (SEC) certificate?

Due to the way that the IRC database works your Secondary certificate has a different certificate number from your primary certificate.

To revalidate it add your Secondary certificate as a separate ‘boat’ using your SEC certificate number.

Note that we can only issue a secondary certificate once you hold a valid primary certificate.

  • My new data is coming from my sailmaker/measurer, but it won’t let me proceed without completing the data

Enter 0.00 in the relevant data inputs, and in the Source of Data box give details of which measurer will be sending us the new measurements.

  • I have a problem or question that is not covered here, how do I contact you?

Please email us with your query to info@rorcrating.com or call us on +44 (0)1590 677030.

If you are sending an email please make sure you include your name, your boat’s name, sail number and design, and IRC certificate number if known.
